Jacob was born a deceiver and one who strived to get ahead any way any how with his own strength and wit. God journeys with Jacob and walks him through a transformation in his identity from Jacob the deceiver to Israel or one who struggles with God and prevails. God has a process of transformation for our lives to and He is in the middle of the struggle with us.
